The attempts to legalize marijuana in Nevada for “recreational” use have been funded almost entirely by money outside Nevada.
This is the third time in four years that a pro-drug group from Washington D.C. has attempted to legalize marijuana in our state. The group is funded heavily by Peter B. Lewis, Chairman of the Board for Progressive Insurance Companies and it is headed up by Rob Kampia, an admitted drug user who was convicted of growing 96 pot plants.
According to public records the group has spent more than $4 million out-of-state dollars to influence Nevada voters for their drug legalizing scheme. The group has collected less than $25,000 dollars from Nevadans.
